 Jobs descriptions:

1. Corporate Brand Management – 1 intern

Internship description: working with the Corporate Brand Manager, the student will be part of a challenging project that aims to share market knowledge amongst all the business units of the group. Wine consumption is being impacted by many macro trends worldwide, new technology, new behaviours, new generations starting to drink alcoholic beverages, etc. Under such a complex and unknow context, the student will search new sources of information that will feed the Market Intelligence platform to help decision and seek new business opportunities.

Student profile: Sogrape OLW operates in very diverse markets and faces multiple challenges, which creates many opportunities for individuals with various interests and backgrounds. For this specific internship, the candidates should have knowledge in fields such as Management, Marketing, Market Intelligence, Social Sciences, or any business-related interest. Sogrape OLW is also looking for candidates that are:

  • self-motivated, willing to take on new challenges;
  • dynamic, versatile, good mood, flexible, with self-initiative;
  • willing to learn about the wine industry
  • enthusiastic to participate in one of the projects;

Portuguese Language skills: Not mandatory

2. Innovation Management – 1 intern

Internship description: working with the Innovation Manager, the student will have the opportunity to see the challenges of innovation in a traditional industry, having the possibility to contact with colleagues from different departments. In order to help Sogrape OLW improving its innovation strategy thinking, 2 alternative internship frameworks are available. Either one or the other can be addressed by the student, depending on his/ her skills and interests:

>> Option A – Building an Innovation Radar

The student will develop an Innovation Radar for Sogrape, a tool that maps and relates the many possible dimensions of business innovation for the company. The student is expected to identify the key dimensions of Sogrape’s business where there may be opportunities to innovate and develop a competitor analysis on each dimension.

This work will be a very relevant tool for the development of strategic thinking on innovation.

>> Option B – Mapping innovation in the wine industry

The student is expected to identify and map innovation examples from around the world, that might constitute inspiration to our business, related to the following pillars:

  • Consumer Trends
  • Product diversification (new products, new services, etc.)
  • People and Brands (engagement, influence, etc.)
  • Business processes (from the vineyard to the glass of wine)

3. Brand Marketing – 1 intern

Internship description: The student will closely work with the Brand Managers in the implementation of the defined strategies for brands as well as work in specific strategic projects for the development of our brands in the USA market. The student will be integrated in the marketing department and will have to deal with different departments in the organization, namely oenology, packaging, sales and planning.

Student profile: The student should have a business management/marketing background with good strategic skills and preferably have a passion for wine. It is also important that the student is:

- self-motivated, willing to take on new challenges for his personal and professional life;

- dynamic, versatile, good mood, flexible, with self-initiative, adaptability;

- Creative and interested in working with people.

- Enthusiastic to participate in the project;

Portuguese Language skills: Not mandatory
